To a Middle Township spouter talking about the need to establish a local police force in Upper Township: We are with you in Dennis Township, which also needs beefed-up law enforcement on our streets. If you throw Woodbine into the mix, there is certainly a combined population that would warrant a regional township police force like is done in many other semi-rural areas in many states. If money prevents this from happening, there are cheaper ways, like hiring constables, to assist over-loaded Woodbine State Police patrols. It needs to be about safety and protection first and not just tax dollars.
