As if to validate a spouter's acknowledgment how we are becoming multicultural as a society, we read that London, England has just elected a Muslim for the first time as its mayor, replacing a man who had made some derogatory comments about the vast Muslim population in the city, and who opposed membership in the European Union. I cannot find out if any Muslims are mayors or governors here at home.
