"Multiculturalism" may very well lead to the destruction of the United States. We have always been proud of our diversity and how hundreds of different cultures have served to make our distinctly American culture great. We were at our best as a "melting pot," blending into a unique and wonderful people. We were at our best as "Americans," not African Americans, Irish Americans, Jewish Americans or Asian Americans. We never gave our pride and affection for our ethnic traditions, and took only the best elements into our new culture. We became great by struggling to integrate, not segregate.
