I attended the budget hearing for Middle Township May 2. It is a shame more taxpayers weren't there to see how their dollars are spent. There was much public comment when the budget was introduced March 18, yet not one change was made in the final budget. Again, Committeeman Donohue offered several improvements that would have strengthened the budget and kept the zero tax increase. Mayor Clark and Deputy Mayor Devico ignored them all and passed the budget as it was introduced March 18. Pure politics. I respect Donohue for voting no, even if it hurts him politically.
