Would you buy something over a 15-year term and only know what the cost is in the first year? Upper Township schools seem to have just done that. The schools will purchase solar energy from Marina Energy over a 15-year agreement that could save the school district over $4 million. First year cost will be 4.25 cents per kilowatt hour. My question is how much is year two to 15 going to cost? No mention of that cost anywhere in the article. This is a prefect example of the waste that goes on in Upper Township.
