An article in a daily paper cites an Institute of Politics national poll of millennial voters showing the preference of those under 30 for a Democrat over a Republican as our president, 61 percent to 33 percent. This gap grew from only 15 percentage points last year. Among this age group, Clinton swamped Trump 61 to 24 percent. The poll suggests if this trend among millennials continues, Republicans have a long-range survival problem as older conservatives die.
