It's obvious those who so often criticize the welfare system have no knowledge of it, outside of myth, rhetoric and folklore. Take a recent spout about the need for drug testing as a perfect example. Unbeknownst to this person, the state of New Jersey already screens welfare participants for substance abuse, requires treatment and sanctions those who don’t cooperate.
