Everyone speaks of more restrictive gun laws. The only problem this creates is law-abiding citizens have a harder time getting a firearm for protecting themselves. If you think gun control is going to take guns out of the criminals' hands you are sadly mistaken. The best gun control is for citizens to start reporting offenders, to stop the illegal sales of guns on the streets. The criminals aren't applying for licenses and permits, they are buying on the streets in your own neighborhoods. Police are hindered by citizens looking the other way and not speaking up about crimes committed.
