A Press article describing declining sales of shore vacation homes should be a wake up call to all local officials of how important a town's appearance is to would-be buyers of area second homes. Roads need to be repaired, trees need planting, rundown properties need code enforcement, and measures taken to give our towns eye appeal. The recent vote against the medians which would have improved the appearance of Pacific Avenue was unfortunate and could have helped all those with 'for sale' signs now on their properties.
