I recently read: "In other North Wildwood business, the city passed an ordinance that raises ambulance and rescue service fees charged by the Fire Department. This increase to $650 per response aligns North Wildwood with surrounding municipalities that had higher fee schedules until now." We pay high taxes to the city which pays for the salaries, benefits and equipment for the fire and rescue department, but God forbid one needs an ambulance. They send one along with a ladder truck and if they take you to the hospital they send you an invoice. This is sad for taxpaying residents.
