Many retired law enforcement officers live in Dennis Township. It is time to utilize this talent pool and reinstate constables in Dennis Township. Along with understanding things like basic police practice and procedures, state and local ordinances, and court procedures, they also understand the importance of vigilance and community relations in keeping our streets and neighborhoods safe. While state police is good at what they do, they are, for the most part, a reactive presence in our communities. They simply cannot dedicate resources to ever-present patrols in three municipalities.
