Stone Harbor

The Stone Harbor time-clock spouter doesn't know much about employment law. No matter how early you punch in you are not entitled to pay if that is not part of your scheduled work day. If you like to come in early and drink coffee with your pals you are on your own. If you punch out late, you can be entitled to pay if you were authorized to work. Just leaving late doesn't get you paid. Work in excess of 40 hours by "non-exempt" employees must be compensated at time and a half, but if the boss didn't authorize by policy or practice you may not get paid. No bonus for taking too long to finish.
