An Avalon spouter incorrectly states that the Republicans won’t consider Obama's pick for Supreme Court because “Senate Democrats refused to consider a nomination when there was a Republican president and Democrats controlled the Senate.” This is a blatant falsehood. The reason they won’t consider the honorable Merrick Garland is because they want the next president to choose. It is an unprecedented position and a partisan act of vocational malfeasance, the Republicans should hold hearings and vote up or down. Shame on the Republicans, and anyone who supports their pathetic intransigence.
