All Christian churches should be packed, as almost all denominations have rites and ceremonies for this time; yet for most of this region, it is business as usual, with minimal church attendance. Travel to Muslim countries during Ramadan and see the difference, as the faithful fast without complaint, and expect their visitors to do the same. All year long, watch the Muslim men go to the Mosque for Friday prayers. To an atheist, religion is irrelevant, but the psychological benefits of religiosity are well documented. Who will prevail?
