I think Councilman Simonsen should fully disclose to the township publicly how the current township manager was hired; it looks like the hire came through the back door. When looking at the published meeting agenda regarding this employment hire, it was a late write-in item added for approval. Was the township manager's position ever posted and how much transparency did Councilman Simomsen exercise in this process? Now he wants our vote for mayor. I question his procedural judgement, in this regard, to fully disclose to the public the issue at hand.
