A Crest spouter is correct to say a visible police presence on the Boardwalk and the downtown streets is absolutely essential if we are to attract more families here. As one of the many workers there, I can't count the times tourists ask how safe the town is, and tourism is our only attraction. I understand the tax burdens involved, but the chief's priority is getting families to visit.
