Does anyone know of any other electric company we can deal with? Last year they charged over $500 for a month of electric when we were out-of-state and our house was unoccupied with no heat or water on. They would not admit it was a bad meter, even though they changed the meter after this. Instead they carried arrears for months, shutting off my electric. Where else can we get electric? Are they a monopoly we are forced to use and obey, even when they make a mistake?
