Why is there no public review, discussion, or suggestion period for choosing the actual streetscape designs and improvements? Who has the final say on what type of trees will be planted where? The design of the crosswalks? Is there an actual "master plan" in mind? Shouldn't these expenditures be put to use hiring a competent landscape architect whose primary focus is on city planning? Instead we have hodgepodge designs all over the place that don't really gel together. Great leaders have the self-confidence to consult others in their areas of expertise. Mayor/Council should bring one in.
