Reading all the spouts about the food service complaints and maintaince problems in Lower, Middle and Dennis townships, it may be time to look into outsourcing these jobs. Being a retired administrator in a Delaware town, we did just that. We found a savings of over 30 to 40 percent. We found less workers comp claims and less sick days being paid. Superintendents should really consider looking into this or at least taking bids. Taxpayers will be happy in the end. But then again, these towns mostly hire friends and relatives.
