An Avalon spouter tried to liken drunk driving laws to stricter gun control laws. That is an absurd comparison. Murder is illegal, the same as drink driving is. They can jail you for DUI, they can execute you for murder. People who drive are required to have licenses yet unlicensed and suspended drivers violate that law daily. We have laws which regulate firearms and laws which regulate vehicles. If we had no gun laws at all the argument might have some merit but we already have good gun laws and murders still happen. Laws only have a very small influence on human nature.
