It doesn't take a scholar to figure out Trump's meteoric success. A large segment of the population is reacting to politically-correct Democratic politicians who refuse to address the root causes of some of our problems and they are also reacting to the intractable, uncompromising stance taken by Republican politicians following the "party line." Polls show most Americans are dissatisfied with both Congress and the president, and are turning their backs on mainstream politicos. It is obvious that the public is desperate, and Trump is filling a need. This is a sign we are in serious trouble.
