Instead of worrying about reading and math, schools should devote way more time teaching civics and the Constitution, or we are headed for a time when any rich populist with zero government experience will find a way to con the public into electing them. Recent events show how little voters know about our government, and run like sheep to hear someone babble, who never, ever explains what he can actually do if he got in.
