Regarding all of the banter about replenishment on our beaches, there has never been opposition to the fact that the projects are needed for shoreline protection. The question is why can't the city team up with the Army Corp and DEP to engineer a safer beach? Many businesses flourish with the summer crowds, but until one of the council members or family members suffers a catastrophic injury, nothing will be done to fix the problem.
