New Jersey State Board of Education President Mark Biedron pointed out at the Jan. 7 State Board of Education meeting, “nobody can force a child” to take a test. Parents and guardians, yes, you have a right to have your child refuse the PARCC test. Passing PARCC tests is not a requirement for students graduating in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Why should the affluent districts be the only ones that refuse in high numbers? Let's all band together to stop this testing madness.
