Criminal background checks, gun registration and safety courses should be mandatory for the purchase of firearms. And so should being able to carry concealed in NJ. There is no reason properly-educated and trained citizens should not have the right to carry. This state's laws are the worst. You are made defenseless by law. Criminals will always get access to guns, knives, drugs and anything else that exists. But many tragedies could be prevented with the right person being in the right place at the right time. Our world and country are changing and it's not getting safer.
