There seems to be merit to these rumblings, since there are well-known problems among the leadership in the Republican Party. Deputy Mayor Clark has run for higher office in the past, but was unable to get elected. His involvement with the current mayor in L.T. and his backing by a well-known CM relative would lead credence to this eventual move. Where there is smoke, is there fire?
