Sadly LCMR sent out a mailing recently with very misleading information about PARCC testing. It first states the class of 2017 must pass the PARCC in order to graduate. In the very next sentence, they reveal that there are other avenues. Why not just be clear? The school has an obligation to offer the PARCC test to students, but there are other tests and even a portfolio appeal that will satisfy current state graduation requirements for classes up to 2019. You can refuse for your child without fear. Get involved with what is happening to our schools. Start with the Bill Gates Foundation.
