If a North Cape May spout that stated "70 percent of those who enroll at community colleges today need remedial English and math" is correct, than our education system needs a major overhaul. And what good is an all-purpose degree if it doesn't land someone a decent job? Not everyone is meant for academics. There is nothing wrong with working at a trade or providing a service. Higher education is big business and the emphasis on college degrees is ridiculous.
