A West Wildwood spouter says he winters in a town 10 times the size of West Wildwood that does not have its own public safety agencies. I bet that town is in a state that uses the county as a basic level of government. N.J. laws put local affairs in the hands of local government, not county government like many other states do. Also, the town he winters in probably does not grow 100 times in population come summer. Of course, that still does not negate other great arguments for consolidation of services on Five Mile Island. Consolidation makes sense and saves money.
