Bring your pets inside. At these temperatures, your dog should not be outside for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time. Even so, s/he should have adequate shelter in the yard which protects against the weather, is clean, stuffed with straw and have a door flap. Most communities in Cape May County have ordinances against tying your dog outside, especially in extreme weather. No old, sick, young or small dog should be out much at all, and consider a sweater when you take them outside, and boots if you plan a walk.
