The industrial, huge electric poles going through Avalon are ugly. Of course, we know that. Why were they allowed? For the same reason that the south end beaches are scraped of sand which is dumped at the north end. For the same reason that the south end dunes have been allowed to be raped for 15 years. For the same reason the Armacost Wildlife Refuge was butchered, with animals running for their lives. For the same reason the bay at the south end has not been dredged, and the many variances doled out are usually in the south end. Because the mayor and council all live at the north end!
