I too am astounded with the base salary of the Wildwood PD chief and fire chief. Wildwood is no different than North Wildwood or Wildwood Crest with a winter population of 2,000 or less (including children). All salary figures can be confirmed on Data Universe for any public employee in New Jersey. This is more of a reason to consolidate public services of police, fire, public works and lifeguards for the entire island. $190,000 and $160,000; those are large salaries for such a small, community department.
