Reading some good spouts about constables in Dennis Township. Seems like a good idea and well worth a small amount of tax dollars spent. I remember many years ago seeing constables on patrol in a township jeep. Woodbine troopers can't be everywhere, and we need more law enforcement on our streets. Part-time cops are the norm now almost everywhere. They get reasonable hourly pay with no benefits. Maybe this township can work with the county sheriff to get a couple of part-time officers exclusively dedicated to patrol our streets and address illegal activity here.
