What do we obtain from owning the beach property from Emerson to Douglass Park? Absolutely nothing in the positive. We do get uncontrolled crowding, visitors who want to avoid beach tags, visitors who don't spend money in our area businesses, renters who could care less about the quality of our community, legal problems that will only increase due to liability regarding safety on the beaches, continual maintenance by our Public Works Dept., and police involvement that could be better utilized.
