A spout questioning the amount of training police get in their academy compared to years of study for doctors, teachers, lawyers, engineers, etc., received a comment online showing the syllabus of the academy training program. A closer look showed a very sketchy, brief description of the classes for police. Is this why so many of police actions are in the news, and why can't training be longer, more hands on, with a student apprentice training period?
