Instead of insisting that the minimum wage needs to be raised, why don't we insist that companies with 500 or more employees offer at least 50 percent full-time (40 hours a week) positions for their employees. The problem I see is not the starting salary, it's companies who force employees who want to work full-time, into part-time only positions.
