Regarding the departure of a full-time officer from the police department: Our tax dollars are now being spent on a recently hired Class II officer. The department has another Class II training the new Class II. Again, our tax dollars spent training overtime, uniform, equipment, etc. Do I support them, of course, however the problem is in the management of the entire department. The retention level has to be the poorest in the county, which costs us, the taxpayers. Shared service must be researched.
