Regarding all this chatter on consolidating the Wildwoods into one town: Just forget about that thought because the local, elected officials do not want to lose the "voting blocks" of their own city employees. Jobs mean votes on this island and jobs are scarce in Cape May County. Until the law is changed and non-locals can vote at local elections we will be stuck with four towns and many extra public employees on the payroll. I cannot imagine any elected official wanting to dilute his voting base, so let's be done with this chatter.
