Wildwood used to have two volunteer companies with a couple dozen members each. Today, only one volunteer company exists, staffed mostly by young people hoping for a career. Yet the same number of paid personnel were on duty back then as there is now. And they used mutual aid back then too. With all the complaining and ideas by people who have but an eyedropper full of knowledge, we don't see many able-bodied taxpayers stepping up willing to devote their time and effort. Most businesses are closed this time of year. I guess they want to collect unemployment and complain instead.
