As perverse as it may seem, I am happy that the defecation of dogs is a highlight of our community's problems. In other towns on the island, citizens complain about drugs and violence, but in our neighborhoods the subject of communal disgust is the bathroom habits of our pets. Over violent crime, I'll take a few pooping dogs any day, who I should remind you are owned by the taxpayers of Wildwood Crest. I agree that people should clean up after their pets, but if you intimidate the dog owners of the borough for the mistakes of a few, you risk running them off the island.
