Kudos to the Wildwood Crest petitioners trying to halt the grass medians. The town should move ahead with just repaving the street, striping and required utility work. The grass medians would be costly to maintain. Who's going to cut the grass for six months? Will this require additional summer hires? Who will pay for the watering of the grass and who will pay to trim the trees? There is a huge maintenance cost that currently does not exist, and will be a permanent cost once the grass medians are built.
