I saw a young woman let her dog defecate on the walkway on the Promenade Oct. 26 without picking it up. When I confronted her about not picking up after her dog, about a block from where she left the dog's dung, she said that she planned to return to pick it up later, an obvious lie. She also called me every vulgar name in the book. These are the people who give pet owners a bad name. I'm embarrassed for myself and other responsible pet owners that people like this can taint the reputation of those of us who conscientiously manage our pets.
