I took special note to the spouter who referred to his 20-year-old college student as a "child." Our children will always be our "babies," but our society seems to be failing at pushing our fledglings out of the nest. We are sheltering our children, and stunting their growth. The "greatest generation" went off to war, went to college on the GI bill and were raising families at the age most of the current youngsters are still tied to apron strings. Yes, times do change, but a need for maturity and self development has not.
