A Stone Harbor spouter asks why elderly retirees vote for a party that promotes the interests of bankers and big business. The answer is simple. So called "big business" has a stake in the survival of the U.S. Our system, as flawed as it may be, has proven to be the most successful. Big business makes money, and it employs people. Most of us, older folks grew up with a work ethic, and were proud of our jobs and didn't care that the boss was a zillionaire, as long as we earned a decent wage. We live on pensions and SS now, and want to see our system survive, at least as long as we do.
