The federal government plans to lease over 340,000 acres of ocean floor, which runs from Long Beach Island to Cape May, to corporations to build windmills. Not only are they as unsightly as an oil rig, windmills also kill any birds that wander too close. These leases are to be sold Nov. 9 so you may want to contact your representative and senators.
