The new Stone Harbor library is indeed a waste of money. The money supposedly earmarked for libraries could be used to help fund the Avalon library, which is an excellent library, a couple of miles away. When will the people of this island wake up and stop paying money for ridiculous duplications of services? Less than 3,000 year-round residents and you would think that there were two major metropolitan centers on the island. Let's start a movement to create Seven Mile Beach Township.
