Avalon Borough has a fiduciary responsibility to protect the interests of its homeowners, yet it has awarded a no-bid contract to a single contractor to dredge individual boat slips in the community. As a consequence, homeowners are being forced to pay exorbitant prices for the service. Where's the outrage from the many owners of bay front properties whom now must pay what is tantamount to a "ransom" to have their slips dredged? Other spouters need to voice their criticism of the borough's actions now.
