City officials continue to overlook the dangerous beach in Cape May while cities like Avalon are closing their beaches until they are safer for the beach patrons. The mayor said he wants the beaches "hard and set." It seems he got what he wants. The latest injury was very serious, a 17-year-old may never walk or breathe on his own. The injured teenager was not surfing, boogie boarding or body surfing but was simply walking into the ocean. Yes, people should be responsible for their actions, but this administration should be held responsible for their actions.
