Isn't it odd that after several months of spouts regarding the feasibility of consolidating our police dept., the mayor makes promotions in the dept.? We now have a sergeant giving our highly paid chief even less to do. Why are they hiding the true cost of running this dept.? I'm sure that a detailed independent review would reveal what it is costing the taxpayers in inefficiency. If there is nothing to hide, for the sake of tax stability, have a professional firm do a total review of the dept.
