I commend the Stone Harbor Police Department for bringing back their marine unit; it only makes sense for a barrier island to have this, which begs the question as to why other towns in this county don't have it. It's ridiculous that the county waterways are only patrolled by the state police, and I can only imagine their response time if they were needed for an emergency.
